It's an object lesson in what can be achieved on a limited budget with imagination, ingenuity and a lot of hard work. Kevin values the boat at just under ￡100,000 and you'd be hard pressed to find a professionally built similar new tug at anywhere near that price.rnIt's probably fair to say that this is not the sort of boat a professional builder wouldrnhave wanted to create. There's the element of serendipity; of letting what comes to hand dictate the next move that a professional, working to plans, orders, time and budgets could not replicate. (With the exception, it should be said, of William Piper Narrowboats who successfully specialise in using reclaimed materials in their fit-outs.)
