Plaudits for staff but problems, too

We Write To praise British Waterways staff who came quickly to our assistance when we were stuck at a low bridge (bridge 7, New Viaduct Street) on our way to Ancoats due to high water.rnBW had someone with us within 30 minutes (despite pouring rain) and ran some water off the bywash so we could get on our way.rnWe also want to thank the BW men for their assistance up the 18 locks through Manchester, we could not have managed without their help. One chap (named Billy) came all the way up the locks to help our single boating friend on his boat. (We were three boats travelling together).rnWe had trouble all the way up due to low water, and the amount of rubbish and underwater obstructions blocking the canal.
