The welsh waterways Festival brought the first trailboats onto a formerly unnavigable section of the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canals, and attracted an impressive 14,000 people out to see them.rnThe event, which incorporated the Inland Waterways Association's annual National Trailboat Festival, was based on an isolated restored length of the Mon & Brec main line just north of Newport.
