An Aussie goes cruising

I'm coming over to Scotland and England in August/September this year and spending a week on the Firth & Clyde and Union canals. Thus doing the two Great Wheels - Falkirk and London Eye. I've read with great interest the recent series on the canals in Scotland and want to thank particularly Ian Barber for his letter (CB, April) about the Oalmuir Drop Lock. We might be missing what sounds like a highlight of the system.
