I would like to agree with Brian Roberts, (CB, February). Whereas general co-operative behaviour is still the norm on the canals, certain people seem to think the 24-hour society extends to the cut, particularly when it comes to power consumption and its fallout. I'd be grateful if you would reprint the section, page 23, clause 4, b of the boating regulations where it states that an engine or generator "……MUST not be run between the hours of 8pm and 8am, unless moored in isolation."
