The return of three recently restored heritage craft, and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque to waterways campaigner Sonia Rolt will be among the highlights of the annual Braunston Historic Narrowboat Rally on 27-28 June. This year there will be an emphasis on boats from the Fellows Morton & Clayton fleet, with the stars of the show being FMC steamer President and its butty Kildare, steered by the Canal & River Trust Chairman and Chief Executive (wearing working boatmen's clothing) for the official opening.
