Community buzzing bee project

A rapidly growing new community is creating something of a buzz around Rotherham. The Rotherham East Community Bee Farm was set up on land provided by Canal & River Trust. The waterways and wellbeing charity that cares for the Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigation. The farm has enjoyed a successful first summer, with four new colonies now well-established and enough honey produced for the insects to survive the winter.
