Diesel: Ireland goes 'white'

In a move that is being seen as a sign of what is to come for UK boaters, the Republic of Ireland has announced that marked (lower duty) diesel fuel will no longer be permitted in private pleasure craft, even if the boaters declare and pay the higher rate on the proportion used for propulsion, as currently happens in the UK.
