The Montgomery Canal restoration took another step forward towards the start of work on the next section beyond the end of the current project at Crickheath, with the recent granting of planning permission for the new Schoolhouse Bridge. However the planning and preparation work still needed before the start of major practical work means that this will now take place in 2021.
