Watching the national pastime of road rage while waiting for the lights, I decided that we're not exactly convivial in the comfort of our cars. It appears that unreasonable and rowdy behaviour is de rigueur on our roads. Do we begrudge sharing the highways and byways? Have we lost sight of the bigger picture? On our canals, a refuge away from death-dicing drivers, there are, of course, rare moments of irritation such as speeders and morons who leave litter. In the main, it's a calm and comfortable community on our waterways. Yet once again I pose the question; have we lost sight of the bigger picture?
