Retail shippers more optimistic about freight volume growth for 2013 than most Canadian shippers

Canadian retailers are slightly more optimistic than the rest of the country's shippers about shipment volumes in 2013, our annual Transportation Buying Trends survey indicates. Asked to project their freight volumes for this year, 45% of retailers believed their volumes would be up 5-10%. Looking at the overall survey results, fewer shippers (41%) forecasted such growth for this year.
