It has been quite some time since anyone looked at how many engineers are entering the Canadian workforce each year. That is why rumours are circulating about internationally trained engineers being forced to drive taxi cabs in Toronto for lack of work. Closer to the truth is that there are too many engineers in densely populated cities without the right skill sets and qualifications to match employers' requirements — but no one knows for sure.rnThat is why a current research project is so important to engineers in Ontario and across the country.
