摘要

Biofilm use as a protective barrier against corrosion inhibition was evaluated using a sulphide oxidase enzyme electrode. The simple method presented herein was shown to be valuable in rapidly determining the effectiveness of a biofilm as a corrosion barrier. Results from amperometric measurements showed that E.coli Dh5α biofilm was successful in blocking the sulphide ions and provided an effective barrier against MIC.
