Three basic concepts for a morphodynamic representation of human settlements

The article considers three basic concepts as required by the study of human settlements morphogenesies. At first, is analyzed the organizational center of some cities and towns, that is to say the origins of those settlements, their attracting power the meaning invested in their places and their lasting through centuries. Next, are pointed out the spatial interaction scheme, which are conceived so as to make possible passing from the micro- geographic level of the subjects and the functions, to the meso-geographic level on which is displayed the morphologic structuration of the intrinsic organization of agglomerate settlements.
