Ryan Dostie, audit assurance partner at Welch LLP in Ottawa, knew he was going to be late. His flight home from a business trip in Colombia was delayed three hours, which nixed his chances of making his connecting flight in Miami. When he finally arrived stateside, he waited in line about an hour to rebook his flight - only to be told the airline had already taken care of the change before he left Colombia. He now had just 10 minutes to reach the plane. He ran to security and then sprinted across the airport to the very last gate.
