Das Problem der Informationsüberflutung kann durch richtige fachkonzep-tuelle FIS-Spezifikationen überwunden werden. Die fachkonzeptuelle Spezifikation von FIS erfolgt mittels einer domänenspezifischen Sprache. Diese Sprache wird zur Entwicklung eines Repositories herangezogen, das die Entwicklung von FIS auf der Basis des Fachkonzeptes automatisiert.%Current discussions of Management Information Systems focus on technical concepts. However, real world MIS-projects have to cope with the problems of information overload and missing report repositories. New approaches to the conceptual specification of MIS are proposed to overcome these difficulties. A language for the conceptual specification of MIS is introduced and the corresponding meta-model is outlined. An additional meta-model for the definition of suitable procedure models is described. These models are the foundation of a MIS-specific development methodology. Finally, a tool supporting this methodology is presented.
