Das Standardisierungsproblem: Zur ökonomischen Auswahl von Standards in Informationssystemen

This paper provides an economic analysis of using standards in information systems. First, we derive the relevant model parameters of the standardization problem. This serves as the foundation for the development of a decision model to support the evaluation of standards in information systems. Furthermore, we discuss possibilities and limitations of using the decision model.%Gegenstand des vorliegenden Artikels ist eine ökonomische Untersuchung des Einsatzes von Standards in Informationssystemen. In einem ersten Schritt identifizieren wir die relevanten Modellparameter für die Entscheidung über die Nutzung von Standards. Auf dieser Basis wird ein Entscheidungsmodell zur ökonomischen Auswahl von Standards entwickelt. Des weiteren werden Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Anwendung des Entscheidungsmodells aufgezeigt.
