I probably would have preferred the Atlantean. When Ian Allan's book publishing people asked me to profile the Daimler Fleetline in its attractive new series on postwar double-deckers, my pro-Leyland prejudices had to be placed on one side and I had to accept that if the Atlantean was not on offer then the Fleetline could be the next best thing.
