Go north east became the first bus operator in north-east England to introduce smartcard ticketing on its buses on 8 June.rnIts The Key-branded smartcards will make bus travel possible with just one touch on a ticket machine as passengers board and offer a range of customer benefits including exclusive discounts, improved security and the convenience of instant ticket top-ups online or by phone.rnThe cards will also mean that all under-19s will benefit from new reduced fares.
