There seems no end to the wider world's appetite for wrong-way-round images of British buses and coaches, either when someone of artistic bent decides they look better that way or just because they don't know any better. Garrett Flynn, from Co. Kildare, was intrigued by the otherwise accurate Plaxton-bodied Leyland Tiger halfcab gracing the cover of a recent edition of The Lilac Bus, a collection of short stories by Maeve Binchy first published in 1 984 and relating the stories of seven fictional characters who commuted home to the West of Ireland from Dublin aboard the eponymous pastel coloured bus.
