Tender results bring major changes in rural Mid Argyll

Recent tendering by Argyll & Bute Council will change long-established bus service arrangements in Mid Argyll from mid-October. Campbeltown-based West Coast Motors has bid successfully for the contract to provide services between Lochgilphead and points to the west including Crinan, Cairnbaan, Tayvallich, Carsaig and Achnamara. For many years, these routes have been operated by Anderson's Coaches of Lochgilphead, a company that can trace its roots back to pioneering operator Malcolm McLachlan of Tayvallich.
