BYD regards its two London buses as the first step in its plans to gain a share of the UK city bus market. It sees its UK offering as distinct from its planned left-hand-drive European range. If it could sell around 100 in the UK, it says that would be sufficient for it to provide its own freestanding operation here. Ideally it would like a partner or partners to do this.
