Year of more than just New Routemasters

Visions is ahead of the pack with a review of the 2014 bus scene in London. And so up-to-date is this publication that it includes photographs (in store) of the new generation Alexander Dennis Enviro400s that Abellio only began to put into service in the last week of January. In all, there are - according to the blurb on the back cover - 300 colour photographs and 25,000 words describing the many major events and changes in the UK capital last year, a period dominated by the arrival of 233 more New Routemasters and Transport for London's Year of the Bus celebrations. Although there is much about both of these themes - including New Routemasters in silver Year of the Bus livery - there is a great deal more to report and the cover shows one of the other notable developments, the introduction of 32 Wright Gemini 3-bodied Volvo B5LH hybrids to Stagecoach's Selkent fleet, operated - the text explains - on one of only two Selkent routes that reach central London where air quality improvement is a critical objective.
