500 extra buses planned for 2021

More than 500 buses will be added to the London bus fleet by 2020/21 if the Transport for London board approves a plan submitted for consideration on 10 December. The proposal, increasing the fleet to around 9,200 vehicles, forms a major part of a draft business plan from TfL and Mayor of London Boris Johnson to increase capacity of the public transport system to accommodate an anticipated increase in the population to 10million by 2030.
