BYDs 'imminent' on route 98

By the time you read this, Metroline should have the first three of its five BYD electric double-deckers in service on route 98 (Willesden-Russell Square). After engineering studies, two weeks on driver training were to precede entry into service. The intention is to put them into all-day service, which might even see one beginning its day's work at 04.30. The first bus was displayed to the press and formally handed-over by BYD to Transport for London at a small ceremony outside City Hall on 15 March.
