1923 by farmer Jimmy Clark of East Allington, who bought lorry to take rabbits to market and use as weekend bus. First bus (20-seat De Dion Bouton) bought 1933 and named the Tally Ho! Sunshine Coach. Business acquired February 1960 by Jim Wellington, whose family coach and road haulage business traded as Kingsbridge Belle. All coach operations integrated into Tally Ho! from 1964. Present garage constructed 1971, when South Hams District Council asks Tally Ho! and South Milton Coaches to fill gaps caused by Western National withdrawing services. Acquired Salcombe Motor Company 1964, Walls of Dartmouth 1966, South Milton Coaches 1972, Ivy Coaches of Ivybridge 1975, Riley of Holbeton 1978, Sunshine Coaches of Plymouth 1979, The Harrier of Modbury January 1999 and minibuses of Edgar Wills of Kingsbridge 2003.
