Red or green? Singapore votes for new livery

With Go-Ahead Group and Tower Transit both awarded contracts for franchised services in Singapore, the city state is consulting with the public on a new standard livery to be used by all operators. In place of the purple, red and white of SBS Transit and the red and white of SMRT, it is following the London model of a single solid colour and an SG Bus trading name with a red heart logo, which will be phased in gradually as the network is franchised. The choice has been narrowed down to allover red or allover lime green, with 10 double- and single-deckers - six from SBS Transit and four from SMRT - painted in each version to help commuters visualise the livery.
