Flixbus goes east in Austrian tie-up

Germany's most successful express coach operation, MeinFernbus Flixbus, has expanded into Eastern Europe following a link-up with Austria's Blaguss group. Services are operated by new company Flixbus CEE (Central & Eastern Europe) with offices in Budapest and Zagreb. From January, new hubs in Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic have been connected up to 15 times per day. Routes to Slovenia, Romania and Bosnia-Herzegovina will be added soon. 'Our aim is to offer a network of green coaches from Bordeaux to Bucharest,' says MeinFernbus Flixbus managing director Andre Schwammlein. Blaguss has been a partner in the Flixbus network since 2014.
