Thirty-one central London routes - several of them high-profile services - will be withdrawn, curtailed or restructured in Transport for London's plans to adjust bus provision to take account of changes in demand. Interested parties have been given until 9 November to comment on the plans, which TfL published on 28 September. It hopes to implement them next spring, subject to the outcome of this consultation, further approvals and the availability of funding. The changes broadly mirror those leaked in August (see Look in on London last month). While the leak may have lessened the overall impact of the proposals, they still represent the biggest shake-up in central London since the congestion charge began in 2003.
