Climate Change and Greenhouse Gas Trading

Climate change is the greatest environmental threat faced by humanity. Last year claimed the hottest average temperatures in the United States since measurements started 140 years ago, and the eight hottest years during that period occurred within the last ten. Not only that, unexpectedly high rates of glacier and ice cap melting have recently been noted, as the severity of rainstorms and dry spell cycles worldwide has increased dramatically. Though there is a level of uncertainty regarding the precise magnitude of the impacts of global warming on different regions — and the speed at which those impacts will come about — there is now little doubt within the scientific community that global warming and its effects are already taking place.
