Noteworthy achievements and distinguished colleagues in the international geothermal community were honored at the GRC Annual Membership Luncheon on October 7 during the 2009 GRC Annual Meeting. According to GRC Honors and Awards Committee Chair Marilyn Nemzer, more than 20 final nominees were considered for eight awards to worthy recipients in the following categories:rnThe Joseph W. Aidlin Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the Geothermal Resources Council and to the development of geothermal energy. "It is the highest honor the GRC bestows upon a member," said Nemzer.
