GeothermEx Supporting Renewable Power for a Remote Alaskan Community

On behalf of the local Native Council, GeothermEx staff recently conducted preliminary geothermal exploration in the remote Village of Port Heiden, Alaska. Located on Bristol Bay, close to the active Aniakchak volcano, the Village seeks to develop a small geothermal project to replace costly diesel power. If viable, this indigenous and renewable energy source could significantly lower electricity costs for residents and provide a driver for economic growth.
