Description of the last seven pelagic larval stages of squilla sp. (crustacea, stomatopoda)

Knowledge of stomatopod larvae, both taxonomically and ecologically, is limited. Sto- matopod larvae were collected during the LH3 SEFCAR cruise in the lower Florida Keys and the Dry Tortugas area. Larvae were classified into morphotypes. One of those morphotypes was identified as a single species of the genus Squilla. Seven pelagic stages were identified, but the degree of development of some structures of the earliest stage described here suggest that this species most probably have more than the seven stages described in this publication.
