The company has installed the first long-range rotating light with LED lamp in Frouxeira Lighthouse in the town of Fer-rol in Galicia.This technological advance has taken advantage of the renewal of the optics, initially installed in 1995 and were said to have been badly damaged by infra red radiation emitted by a halogen lamp. Previously, the lighthouse was working with a I000W halogen lamp and its nominal range was 20 nautical miles. Now with the new LED lamp and lens designed for the purpose, the lighthouse will have a power consumption of only SOW with range increased to 22 nautical miles (Fixed Intensity: 1,150,000 Cd).
