Cone electrostatic energy analyser, used for concurrent energy- and angle-resolved measurements

The possibility to design anovel type electron energy- and angle-resolved spectrograph with a position-sensitive detector (PSD) is discussed, on the base of a conical electrostatic energy analyser. Its field properties permit to distribute the energy spectrum along the PSD radius, while PSD azimuth correlates exactly with the particle polar emission angle, azimuthal emission angle being approximately constant.
