Bruks Siwertell ship-unloaders to Taiwan's FPC

Formosa Plastics Corporation (FPC) has placed an order for two 640 D-type Siwertell ship-unloaders, expanding its fleet of continuous screw-type Siwertell unloaders to 13 units. FPC, part of the Taiwanese conglomerate Formosa Plastics Group, will install the new machines to handle salt, an ingredient in chlorine, at Kaohsiung Port in southern Taiwan.The totally enclosed rail-mounted unloaders offer a continuous rated capacity of 1,000 tph and will discharge vessels up to 80,000 dwt.
