While open belt conveyors are most commonly found in pit-to-port applications, some circumstances require the use of pipe conveyors. Transporting materials along an enclosed pipe carries a number of advantages. They have a more or less unlimited capability for direct transfer of materials between two points, which is not possible by conventional means.
