Scrap can be broken down into three differ ent categories. The easiest to handle is very fine scrap which has been through a scrap mill as all of the pieces are of a similar size and density. The second level of scrap is "pre-sorted." Here all the pieces are of a similar size but there are bigger pieces in the mix such as radiators, doors from a car which are more ungainly when it comes to handling. The third category is unsorted scrap, which as the term implies comprises scrap of any size and any density and typically includes parts of cars and big steel pipes . This is the most difficult type to handle as the density and size is an unknown variable.
