Changing market conditions make CSUs more attractive

Strong commodity flows, sustained high freight levels that increase pressure on faster turnaround times and tougher environmental requirements are making the extra investment in CSUs more attractive. Continuous ship un-loaders (CSUs) are regarded by many operators as technically superior to grab unloaders in their ability to provide fast through-ship rates. But they are mechanically complicated, and so prone to greater maintenance requirements.
