The management of the northern Chilean Port of Angamos has put together a US$100M investment plan to be implemented by 2010. The aim is to make the port the hub of choice for mineral exports from the surrounding area, which will also include Argentina and Bolivia. Two new terminals are planned, which will also act as coal import facilities for electricity generating stations in the region.
