NMTP to resume grain terminal expansion

The Merchant Seaport of Novorossiysk (NMTP), the largest commerical seaport operator in Russia's Black Sea harbour, has earmarked US$37M this year for the expansion of the handling capacity at its grain terminal (NGT) by 2 mtpa to 6 mtpa. The project implies the expansion of the terminal's capacity from 120,000t to 188,000t, as well as an increase in the capacity of grain discharge from railcars (from 2.9 mtpa to 4.5 mtpa) and from lorries (from 700,000 tpa to 2.4 mtpa).
