Vostochny Port equipment deal

JSC Vostochny Port (VP), the largest coal handling operator at the Pacific port of Vostoch-ny/Nakhodka, has contracted Marubeni Corporation and Mitsui Miike Machinery Co to supply handling equipment for the third stage of its coal terminal. The US$95M worth contract specifies the delivery of a rail car-dumper, a stacker, a reclaimer and a 3,000 tph conveyor within 16-months. Late last year, VP put into service a new Mitsui Miike shiploader, replacing an older unit at berth 49. Earlier in 2013, VP acquired and installed eight Korean-built magnetic filters.
