Did you happen to check out the bike display at a Target or Walmart or REI anytime in the past 16 months? You most likely found it wiped out, second only to the inflatable pool section. If COVID-19:s impact on our world taught us anything, it's how precious life is. And for the design industry, it was also a major reminder of just how vital access and connection to outdoor spaces is. They served as an absolute lifeline for all of us as we remained cooped up in our homes with kids, pets and loved ones and had to work from dining room tables, bedrooms or even sometimes our hallway closets.
