The LSC was meant to run until 2012 but underwent an overhaul earlier this year, which threw it into uncertainty. It will be replaced by two smaller quangos by the end of 2010 and there is no certainty that agreements will continue beyond this date or whether those companies already on the frameworks will maintain their positions. It is understood that colleges that do not use consultants listed on the frameworks may miss out on LSC funding for costs and feasibility studies.
