I find British politics rather strange. We have one of the largest discrepancies between the highest paid and the lowest in the western world, and still people complain about taxes - even with all the desperate problems that result. The disaster of the eighties has onlyjust levelled out.rnFive years of Tory rule will be the end of this. Those who think the country is somehow going to improve with lower taxes and hard cuts must be living in another reality.
