Green Deal firm Mark Group collapses with 939 job losses

Stricken solar panel and insulation installer Mark Group has blamed the government's bonfire of green subsidies for pushing it into administration, with the loss of 939 jobs. The Green Deal provider said its managers had repurchased the business from owner SunEdison and, after taking advice, made the decision to place the firm in to administration. US-based SunEdison had bought Mark Group less than three months ago with the intention of expanding the firm's UK offering.
