The Kier team behind nearly £2.5bn of civil engineering work on the central section of HS2 is close to announcing that Bam Nuttall and Spanish contractor Ferrovial have been drafted on to the project. Kier and French contractor Eiffage were appointed in summer 2017 along with then joint venture partner Carillion. Heathrow architect Grimshaw has said more than 20 staff are likely to lose their jobs after the Court of Appeal ruled the government's airport expansion policy was illegal.
