SOBC obtained ISO50001 accreditation

SOCAM Development Ltd (SOCAM) recently announced the successful accreditation of Shui On Building Contractors Limited (SOBC), a subsidiary of SOCAM in public housing construction) in compliance with ISO50001: 2011 standard for energy management systems. Accordingly, SOBC becomes the first building contractor in housing projects that obtained the accreditation in Hong Kong. Commenting on the accreditation, Mr Stephen Lee, Executive Director of SOBC, said, "Housing construction is at the frontier of building a greener society. As a major contractor in Hong Kong, SOBC has pride to set a benchmark for the industry, and we will continue to furnish our expertise and innovation in the area for the betterment of our city."
