China's tallest building topped out

After four years of construction, the 632-meter tall Shanghai Tower was topped out recently. Shanghai Tower is currently the tallest building in China which has a total GFA of over 375,000 square meters. Shanghai Tower is designed by Gensler with structural services provided by Thornton Tomasetti. Construction began on the tower in 2008 and the project is slated for completion in 2014.
