Open Design Contest For Lightbox Pavilion

The Architecture Foundation has launched a competition to design a semi-permanent summer pavilion to sit outside Marks Barfield's Lightbox gallery in Woking.rnCommissioned by Tent London and The Lighthouse,it will first be shown as part of next year's London Design festival as part of Tent London's exhibition.rnThe brief is for a structure that can be used as an exhibition,presentation and party space.With a maximum footprint of 35sq m and no more than 4m high,it must be able to be assembled in 72 hours and dismantled in 24 hours.rnThe winning design will be fabricated by architecture,design and construction company Facit usingrna new digital manufacturing method,and must be compatible widi its requirements.Designs that are semi-modular will be favoured.
